Javed Ahmed was appointed as the Director

as DG of police of Uttar Pradesh

General of police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh by the State Government.He succeeds Jagmohan Yadav. Javed Ahmed is a 1984 batch Indian police service officer. He had earlier served as the joint director of Central Bureau of Investigation.

Grammy winning singer Natalie Cole passed away

Grammy winning singer Natalie Cole passed away on 31th December 2015 at the age of 65. He won grammy award for best R&B female performance and grammy award for best new artist 

Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for Kerosene from 1st April 2016

Union Government decided to introduce Direct Benefit Transfer(DBT) scheme for kerosene from 1st April 2016. By DBT user can buy cooking fuel at market rate and subsidy directly transfer to the user's bank account. 

The scheme initially launched in 26 districts of 8 states, the state are Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Hiimachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra 

Amma Seeds scheme for farmers in Tamil Nadu

The chief minister of Tamil Nadu Jayaram Jayalalithaa lauched a scheme named as 'Amma Seeds' in Tamil Nadu by this scheme farmer will be provided good quality of seeds by the government.

Tamil Nadu State seeds Development Agency act as Nodal body.

Fund of Rs. 5.37 crore towards expanding a scheme for urban citizens to grow vegetables at home to Tiruchirappalli and Madurai

Punjab National Bank Launches host of digital banking solutions

Punjab National Bank has launched host of digital banking solutions including green PIN and enrichment of its mobile app.

The Bank launched a android app  that help costumer to locate nearest PNB ATM in the country.The app will work by the use of GPS technology .

The bank also launched 'Green PIN Facility' by this customer can get duplicate PIN for debit card instantly through SMS request. customer can also block and unblock Internet banking and mobile banking through SMS

The bank has installed Cash acceptor cum ATM at their Sansad Marg branch by this customer can deposit cash up to Rs. 2 lakh per transaction and can avail the ATM feature

India and Pakistan exchange list of Nuclear facilities

India and Pakistan exchanged the list of their nuclear installation and facilities under the agreement on the prohibition of attack against Nuclear installations.
This is the 25th consecutive exchange of such list between India and Pakistan 
It was exchanged through diplomatic channels at New Delhi and Islamabad
The first it's kind of exchange was taken place on 1st January 1992
